Barbara A. Meakin, 76, of Pawtucket, passed away on April 23rd in Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late Leonard Meakin. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore C. “Charlie” and Antonetta (Aquilante) Catanzaro. Barbara was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed NASCAR and social events.
She is survived by her loving children, Lori Martel and her fiancé Michael Morin of Woonsocket, Dawn DeMello and her husband Brian of Pawtucket; three grandchildren, Courtney Martel, Nathan and Zackery DeMello; a brother, Robert C. Catanzaro and his wife Donna of Cranston.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, April 30th from 2:00 – 4:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Burial will take place on Monday, May 2nd at 12:30pm in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Please gather in the parking lot outside the cemetery gates by 12:15pm.
